Death

"Dying in Elysian is intense. Unlike Legion where your character is mostly protected by plot armor to continue their narrative and simply respawn with all your stuff and carry on, a killed character is gone forever. However in the moment of losing your character, it is important that the memories you’ve created in Elysian will be some of the strongest in the ongoing storyline. It means something that your character has died. There are stakes beyond good and bad endings or plot twists triggered by your dialogue choices. In Elysian, this will be where you will feel the consequences of your actions in a community roleplay."

We want Elysian to be a story that transcends to how you would normally think about choices and the people that use them. It is a unique alternate universe experienced only through the eyes of your character, seen in an artificial server space.

What Happens When You Die?

When you die, your character's progress stops and their legacy lives on. You can choose to create a Legacy Character after death that has a form of story connectivity with your main character and possibly continue their narrative or create a new one completely.

There are many ways to how a character can die, some of the most prominent being death through PVP, Declared Wars and even by a Titan’s Axia (Soul Connection).

However even with death being a permanent thing, there are ways to bring back a character to life:

A Master Paragon trades their life for the Character (they must be present at the time and location of their death)

Castiel sacrifices a fragment of his power and ages forward the same years of the victim’s lifetime.

Powerful Relics that offer new Axias to a dying body (Different person in the same body).

CHARACTER PROTECTION

Even with permadeath being a thing in Elysian, there will always be ONE random event that will save your character from being killed instantly. (That is if you choose to let the world save you.)

There will be an incoming prompt called “Cedric Iconica”.

This is where nature and the life of Eden Halcyon comes as a form of insurance to make sure that you are always given a way out in incredible situations such as an Alliance Warfare.

This doesn’t mean it will happen 100% of the time. It is based on your character’s lore and story, the stronger it is, the more likely Eden Halcyon’s wonders will provide you with a second chance.
